Scotland under Jus Commune, a three volume work by Gero Dolezalek, sometime Professor of Civil Law in the University of Aberdeen, and forming volumes 55-57 of the Society’s publications, is now accessible in digital format on the HeinOnline legal database. This work is a census of manuscripts of legal literature in Scotland, mainly between 1500 and 1660. The work catalogues and gives details of a large number of Scots law manuscripts from a period when relatively few legal works made their way into print.
Online access to the full range of our published volumes up to volume 57 is now available free to members. For further details of this facility, see the Membership Page. Volume 58 (Scottish Formularies, edited by Professor A A M Duncan, Emeritus Professor of Scottish History and Literature, University of Glasgow), will become available on line later this year.
